Sixty years at a single bench.
Aurelis was founded on one refusal: never to sell a stone we would not wear ourselves. We buy rough by eye, cut for brilliance over carat, and finish every setting by hand at our atelier off the Place Vendôme. We take on a few dozen commissions a year, no more, because a piece meant to outlive you cannot be made in a week.

Fifty-seven facets, one hand.
A round brilliant carries fifty-seven facets, and every one is placed to send light back through the table to your eye. We cut for that return, not for the scale, which is why our stones look larger lit than they measure on the loupe. The setting beside these words is one of ours, turning as it would in your hand.
It catches a room before I do. Thirty years and it still stops me at a mirror.
They talked me out of a bigger stone and into a better one. I have thanked them for it every day since.
