One chair, then four, then a name over the door.
Sal opened Fade & Co with a single chair and a hand-me-down mirror in the back of a hardware store. Fifteen years on, the mirror is still here, along with three more chairs, a wall of regulars' photos, and the same rule as day one: nobody leaves before it is right. We take walk-ins when we can and bookings when it is busy, which is most of the time.
