Refunds · Updated 4 September 2026

Fourteen days. Ask and it comes back.

You see the finished site working, on a real address, before you are asked for a card. That is the point of the free preview and it is why almost nobody needs this page. It exists anyway, because a product that takes money should say in writing what happens when somebody wants it back.

1The rule

Within 14 days of the first charge on a new subscription, monthly or annual, ask for a refund and you get the whole charge back. No reason required and no argument. The subscription is cancelled at the same time.

The refund is issued through Stripe, to the same card that paid. Stripe usually returns it within five to ten working days, depending on the bank. We do not hold credit, we do not offer vouchers, and there is no restocking fee or handling charge.

2After the first 14 days

Monthly plans. No pro rata. Cancel whenever you like and the site keeps running, unwatermarked, to the end of the month you already paid for. Nothing renews after that and nothing else is charged. Cancelling on day two of a month costs the same as cancelling on day twenty eight, which is why it is better to cancel when you decide rather than to wait for the date.

Annual plans. The 14 day window is the refundable part. After it, a year that has been paid for runs to the end of the year. There is no partial refund of an annual term, which is the trade you are making for the two free months.

Renewals. A renewal is not a new first charge, so the 14 day window does not restart with it. If a renewal caught you by surprise and the site has not been used since, say so within 14 days of it and we will refund it anyway. That is a courtesy rather than a right, and it is offered once.

3When we refund without being asked

If we charged you twice for the same thing, if a payment went through for a site we never put live, or if we shut the service down while you were paid up, the money comes back. In the last case it is the unused part of the term, calculated to the day.

If the site is down for a long stretch through our fault, ask and we will credit or refund the time it was down. We do not publish an uptime guarantee, but we do not charge for a site nobody could reach either.

4What is not refundable

A subscription cancelled after its window, beyond the courtesy above. A site taken down because it broke the acceptable use rules in the terms. A domain name you registered yourself, which is your registrar’s charge and not ours. And the free preview, which cost nothing, so there is nothing to return.

5Chargebacks

Ask us first. A refund takes one message and is usually done the same day a person reads it; a chargeback takes weeks, costs both sides a fee, and gets you the same money. If you have already started one, tell us and we will not contest a claim that we would have refunded anyway.

6How to ask

Use the form at the foot of the homepage. Give the address of the site and the date of the charge. That is enough to find it.

A person reads it, not a queue system, so an answer usually arrives within a working day. Once the refund is issued, Stripe is what confirms it to you: the notice comes from Stripe’s own systems, at the address the card was paid from.

You can also cancel a subscription yourself at any time, without asking anyone, from the billing portal linked in your site’s edit page. Cancelling stops the next charge; it does not on its own return the last one, so if you want the money back as well, say so.

7Prices, for reference

One is $9.99 a month and is the only plan you can buy without talking to anyone. Everything above it is arranged with a person, and anything arranged that way is refunded under the same 14 day rule. The full ladder is on the pricing page.

Before any of that there is a preview, which runs for 7 days and takes no card. If you are reading this page before you have paid, go and look at your site first. It is the cheapest refund there is.
