The cloth
Bought in one lot, from two mills, and never reordered. When it is finished the piece is finished.

One pattern cutter, one table, and a toile for every size before anything is cut in the cloth.

The finish
Hems, buttonholes and linings by hand, which is where the eleven weeks go and why there are only eleven pieces.
One collection a year, and nothing in between
We make eleven pieces and then we stop. Everything is cut in the same room in the eleventh, by four people who have worked together for nine years, and nothing is repeated the following season. If a piece sells out it is gone. That is not scarcity as a tactic, it is what happens when the number of hands is fixed and nobody wants to add more.
