Webflow is the most capable product in this comparison and the least like DesignDeck. It is a professional design and development tool with a proper CMS, used by agencies to build sites they hand to clients. If you are an agency, or you are hiring one, this page is not an argument against Webflow.
It is worth reading if you are a business owner who was told to get a Webflow site and is now looking at the learning curve. The gap between a Webflow account and a finished site is a skill, and the usual way of closing it is paying somebody. What follows is what the alternative costs and what it gives up.
What Webflow is
A visual development tool with a free Starter tier that builds and previews on a webflow.io subdomain for as long as you like; a paid Site plan is needed only to publish to your own domain. Our research could not confirm Webflow's current Site plan prices against its own pricing page, which failed to fetch, and the figures third-party trackers reported after the May 2026 restructure were roughly $14 to $15 a month for Basic and around $25 for Premium on annual billing. Treat those as unconfirmed and check webflow.com/pricing before deciding on them.
Templates number somewhere between 1,000 and 2,000 depending on which source you believe, with premium ones commonly $49 to $149. The CMS is the real differentiator and it has documented limits: 60 fields and 10 reference fields per collection. Publishing to a custom domain runs through Webflow's own DNS steps and typically takes 24 to 48 hours to propagate. 2026 brought an AI Site Builder that a review called a viable primary tool for standard business websites, AI Code Components, a native Claude connector and answer-engine optimisation tooling.
What is different here
No CMS, no canvas and nothing to learn. The site exists before you arrive; you fill in one form and it is live on an address that resolves immediately, with no DNS wait to sit through before you can send anybody the link. That link works while the site is still free, which is the part that matters if you are showing it to a partner before deciding.
What you give up is genuine. There is no collection you can model, no field you can add, no interaction you can author. If your site is a content system with a hundred entries and a custom schema, Webflow is the tool and this is not. If your site is a business that needs to be found, read and contacted, the deck is finished and Webflow is a project.

When Webflow is the better buy
- Your site is a content system: many entries, a custom schema, editors who need their own view.
- You have an agency or an in-house designer, or you want to become one.
- You need interactions and structure that no finished deck could anticipate.

Each of these is a running site, not a screenshot of one. Open it, then put your own name in it.
Questions people ask first
Can DesignDeck do what Webflow's CMS does?
No. Decks have structured slots, which cover a menu, a treatment list, a set of listings or a timetable, but there is no collection to model and no field to add. A site whose whole point is a content model belongs in Webflow.
Why is there no DNS wait here?
Every site starts on an address we already control, so it resolves the moment it is claimed. Pointing your own domain at it later is a separate step with its own wait, the same as anywhere else.
Is Webflow more expensive?
Probably, once the work is counted, and possibly not on the plan alone. The reported Site plan figures were around $14 to $15 a month for Basic, unconfirmed against Webflow's own page. The larger cost with Webflow is usually the person building it.
